Eva Mae LeFevre On A Mission at 90

It's not everyday a 90 year old gospel music legend drops by for a visit. Charlie Waller, Executive Director of SGMA, was surprised to say the least yesterday, when Eva Mae LeFevre stopped by to bring some LeFevre artifacts to the museum. Waller said, "She's always saying how she can't do what she used to do, I think she does WHAT SHE WANTS TO DO! She is Eva Mae. Not only did she bring the artifacts, she has been collecting money to help with our bronze plaque project. She brought us a $1000.00! I think that her enthusiasm at 90 years of age should inspire everyone."

Eva Mae said, "If everybody would just give a little to the SGMA we could get these plaques paid for. It's not that hard to get people to help, we just got to do it."

The Hall of Fame has been replacing the old glass plaques with bronze plaques since the late Glen Payne, prior to his death, made the recommendation to Maurice Templeton.

If you would like to join Eva Mae in helping, you may do so by calling the SGMA at 865-908-4040 and making a donation with your credit card by visiting our online store.
