Martha Winstead (Manager)
Martha loves to listen to The Hinson Family's music. Her favorite Southern Gospel event is Dollywood's Harvest Gospel Music Festival each year in the fall. Her favorite part of the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum is the displays with the clothing and artifacts from the artists who have left a legacy. She always chuckles when guests come into the museum and ask, "Where are Dolly's dresses?"
Faith Pearcey (Office Assistant and Membership Recorder)
Faith Pearcey joined the SGMA Hall of Fame & Museum staff in 2016 as Office Assistant and Membership Recorder. She also enjoys helping with the setup of the displays.
Faith has a rich heritage in Southern Gospel Music. She grew up in Pensacola, Florida, home of the original Florida Boys, Dixie Echoes and Songmasters Quartet (her husband formed the Songmasters Quartet and sang with them for over five years). Faith worked for sixteen years at Gospel Music Television Network doing A&R (talent scouting and booking talent for the shows) and assisted in the production of all shows and sets.
The scripture verse Faith loves most is Jeremiah 33:3, "Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you do not know." Her favorite groups are The Hinsons, Karen Peck & New River, The Perrys and The Talley Trio for mixed groups and Kingdom Heirs and Triumphant for male quartets.
Faith always finds it interesting to hear conversations in the Hall of Fame as people talk about their favorite groups and meander through the displays. Sometimes, she finds it humorous when they talk about things they know about the groups, but they are wrong about the information.
Diane Cain (Retail Clerk)
If you've met Diane, you know that she loves to welcome the guests that visit the Hall of Fame! Her favorite thing about being at the Hall of Fame is interacting with the thousands of people who visit the museum each year.
Landree Brotherton (Retail Clerk)
Landree Brotherton joined the SGMA Hall of Fame & Museum staff in 2017 as a Retail Clerk. Landree was introduced to Southern Gospel music at a young age, thanks to frequent visits to Dollywood to see the Kingdom Heirs with his parents. The Kingdom Heirs remain one of his favorite groups today.
Landree enjoys Dollywood’s National Southern Gospel & Harvest Celebration which gives many artists the opportunity to not only visit and perform at the park, but also to visit the SGMA Hall of Fame & Museum. His favorite Southern Gospel event is the National Quartet Convention.
Landree also works as Associate Producer for the Smoky Mountain Gospel Jubilee Radio/TV Show, hosted by JP Miller. The SMGJ is a live radio show, taking place at 6:30 each Monday night, at the Ogle Furniture Outlet in Sevierville.
His favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6, which says, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all they ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths."
Landree would be happy to chat with you about the history of Southern Gospel music and answer any questions you may have.
Carol Madden (Retail Clerk)
1 Corinthians 2:9 is her favorite verse, and it reads, "However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" -- the things God has prepared for those who love him." Carol shared that it always makes her laugh when customers come into the store looking for a specific CD or song, and they can't remember who sings it or what the name of the song is, but they're able to give her a clue, "It said something about Jesus." Well, that are narrows it down, doesn't it? It always makes her laugh!
Jo Parker (Retail Clerk)
Jo's favorite part of the museum is the Blackwood Quartet's bus. Her favorite Southern Gospel music event is Gatlinburg Gathering and she loves to listen to music from Triumphant Quartet.
"We have all kinds of exciting things happen at the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum," shared Jo. "One day, a guest's son stepped on a baby snake inside the museum. I was terrified to open anything in the museum for days! We never saw another snake, thankfully... one was more than enough!"
Faye Wiggins (Retail Clerk)
Faye Wiggins joined the SGMA Hall of Fame & Museum staff in 2017 as a Retail Clerk. She worked at the Grand Ole Opry for 10 years where she met her husband, Steel Guitar Hall of Fame member Little Roy Wiggins. She has wo daughters and two granddaughters.
The scripture verse that speaks to Faye's heart is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me." She loves music and is very active in Pigeon Forge Community Chorus, as well as her church choir. Her favorite thing about working at the SGMA Hall of Fame is talking to the visitors about their love for Gospel music.
Bonnie Douglass (Bookkeeper)
Bonnie Douglass joined the SGMA team as the official Bookkeeper for the SGMA Hall of Fame & Museum in 2016. She and her husband have two children and are active members at First Baptist Sevierville.
Bonnie has always loved Southern Gospel music. Although she works behind the scenes, one of her favorite things about working at the museum is listening to the comments made by visitors as they walk through. Hearing them reminisce about a special memory of meeting an artist or seeing their favorite artist in concert, and listening to sweet conversations between older folks and their kids and grandkids as they share their love of gospel music is such a joy!
Zephaniah 3:17 is Bonnie's favorite scripture verse. It reads, "The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."
